A full-time School Nurse position is available to provide essential healthcare services in a school setting located in West Chester, PA. This contract role offers 3-week coverage from ASAP through March 25, 2026, with working hours Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to students, focusing on daily health monitoring and managing medical needs during school hours.
- Provide 1:1 feeding tube care, ensuring proper procedure and hygiene.
- Assist with possible changes of clothes as needed for student comfort and care.
- Maintain accurate health records and communicate effectively with school staff and families.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as necessary.
- Comply with all school policies and state nursing regulations.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience in school nursing or pediatric care preferred.
- Ability to manage 1:1 feeding tube care confidently.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to student care.
